I am a published and self-published author (as Colette Coen), with short stories appearing in a range of publications, including Mslexia, the Writing Magazine and Postbox. I was the Federation of Writers Scotland’s Scriever for 2024.

About Me – Colette Duggan, MA
I am a British English speaker with an MA(Hons) in English Literature and Language (Univ. of Glasgow), and post-graduates in Librarianship and Teaching in Further Education.
I have industry-recognised qualifications in proofreading and editing from the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and the Publishing Training Centre, with eight year’s experience. I am a professional member of the CIEP and abide by their code of practice.
I help authors bring their work to market by providing high-quality editing and proofreading services in a timely fashion. My fees reflect my level of experience. I am also a widely published writer of fiction (as Colette Coen).
I live in Scotland with my husband and one of our kids (the other two having flown the nest). My favourite authors are Muriel Spark, Barbara Kingsolver and Margaret Atwood. I also enjoy theatre, TV and knitting with anything but wool (I’ve got a lanolin allergy). On Saturday mornings, you’ll find me having coffee with friends.
